ARCHETYPAL FLAIR
An alchemical journey through time and the collective unconscious. A confident, hieratic line; bold, vivid colours: we dive into the mesmerizing and deeply evocative visual world of
Elisa Seitzinger.
A refined and sensitive visual artist, Elisa’s work unfolds as a poetic tale layered with symbolism, sophistication and depth. Between pagan echoes and dreamlike visions, her style has earned a distinctive place over the years, recognisable and influential within today’s illustration and art landscape.
THE COLLAB: CHERUBINO
Etymologically, “to illustrate” means to give brilliance to a text, to illuminate it. But creativity can exist anywhere. I had worked with textile design before, creating patterns and refining details, but my collaboration with ANOBA was the first time I was invited to design while fully considering the three-dimensionality of a garment. It meant imagining an illustration that could become a bold, sculptural presence, amplified by material applications and textured embellishments.
I began by sketching directly onto the paper pattern, studying structure, weight, and proportion — how each element rests, how every detail finds its place. Those decisions are what make the piece truly special. It became a journey of exploration: researching materials, colours, and contrasts — a process that pushed me beyond my comfort zone in the best possible way.

An angel glowing with elegance, wrapping you in protection
This piece draws on the ancient symbolism of the guardian angel, reimagined through the lens of Byzantine iconography.
A protective presence that warms, shields, and holds you in its clarity, watching over you with the quiet certainty that no harm comes your way.

A Precious Embrace of Protection
Each of us has a guardian angel — a spiritual presence born from our inner, divine side.
A simple yet unique alchemy that expresses the wonder and beauty of this archetypal bond,
seen through images and metaphors that become refined, meaningful details.

CLOSE UP ON:
ELISA SEITZINGER
From the forests of Val d’Ossola to Florence, Atlanta, Nice, London, and finally Turin. Elisa carries an aura that feels as if it were carved out of another era. And yet, her visual world, deeply rooted in ancient traditions, speaks a distinctly contemporary and universally resonant language.
Whether it’s the cover of a book, a site-specific artwork, a tarot deck or an illustration for a fashion podcast, each of her projects bears an unmistakable signature: meticulous historical research, symbolic richness, and a refined iconographic eye. A combination that opens the door to an emotional, almost magical universe, a two-dimensional theatre suspended between the fantastical and the transcendent.
Art is a language to me, the way I give shape to my imagination and inner world.
It’s made of every image that has stayed with me over time, shaped in part by my studies in art history. Contemporary expression, as I see it, is always layered, built on echoes of the past.
What I try to reveal through my work, through my line, is exactly this blend of eras: a dialogue between different times, reinterpreted through my technique and my symbolic lexicon.

Each piece writes a fresh chapter in her iconic style codex.
Her inspiration draws from Gothic atmospheres, Byzantine mosaics, medieval art and esotericism. Elisa starts from hand-drawn lines, a clean, precise stroke that feels almost engraved and brings to life suggestions rich in saturated tones, contrasted with refined neutrals. Among mythical figures and symbolic animals, every illustration becomes a rare and precious amulet.
She has collaborated with numerous publications and brands, including Storie Libere, Spotify, Tasche, Lucy Sulla Cultura, the Turin Book Fair, Premio Strega, Campari, Barilla, Ferrero, Porsche, Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, Etro, and La Double J. Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries, while Sacro Fuoco and Seitzinger Alchemica are her most recent personal projects.
I always draw by hand, and that’s why my style feels almost engraved, a bit like a monk illuminating manuscripts. It becomes a form of meditation, a kind of prayer. When I dive into drawing, I find it hard to pull myself away from the page. It takes me somewhere else entirely, into my imagination — and there’s a quiet, spiritual beauty in that.
Everything you see on the surface comes from deep research. I’m not the kind of person who opens a sketchbook and starts drawing right away — I explore ideas, symbols, meanings first. And that search never really stops, because I believe art has to stay in dialogue with life. That’s why I love visiting museums, sacred places, or sites charged with emotional or historical resonance, places that keep feeding my imagination. Those experiences become the foundation for future pieces, for the images that settle into my subconscious, especially the ones that tap into my more dreamlike side.
