On the front, a long braid slowly growing. Swallows waiting for migration. Two chairs with a romantic aura, still waiting to be occupied. A simple pastime. And a boy who waits — patiently.
The narrative continues along the sleeves: the quiet anticipation before a moka pot begins to bubble, a candle slowly burning down, a goldfish in its small, self-contained world, a telescope searching for its constellation.
The back explores time through its most familiar symbol — the clock — and through a sequence of small, everyday gestures: a slow, warm Sunday morning bath. An absorbed face. And then Lara, Cobelo’s dog, waiting under the rain for “the right moment” — while her owner waits for her with the same patience. Flowers in an improvised vase, gradually fading. A book turned page by page, savouring every word, resting beside the artist’s own glasses.
Each element reflects a different way of inhabiting waiting — suspended between lightness, irony, and melancholy. The clean, immediate lines create a balance between playfulness and introspection, unmistakably shaped by Cobelo’s signature style.
In the khaki variant, a tone-on-tone palette of greens with lighter accents vibrates subtly, evoking a more intimate and contemplative dimension — like a thought slowly coming to the surface.
