A regular-fit sweatshirt that brings Luca Font’s unmistakable street aesthetic into the world of ANOBA. Artist, tattooist, and muralist, Font is among the most recognisable voices in the Italian contemporary scene.
The artwork Il Pensatore explores the dual nature of thought. On the front, thinking appears light, spontaneous, and instinctive: an essential, harmonious composition shaped by images of flight and freedom. On the back, its counterpart emerges — constructed, anthropological, complex. A denser, more architectural mental landscape, where the face becomes an inner map populated by symbols, buildings, openings, and passages: a city within the mind, metaphor of layered and structured thought.
Two visions coexist within the same garment, united by the artist’s distinctive clean and geometric line. The piece reads as a self-portrait, both intimate and conceptual.
Embroidery plays a central role in the visual impact of the artwork. The front is primarily rendered in satin stitch, with subtle accents in terry stitch — such as the sun and the hill — adding texture and depth. On the back, the composition is almost entirely executed in terry stitch, interrupted by satin stitch details — the sun, the window, the door — creating continuity with the front, like a visual passage between the two sides. The three-dimensional effect is bold and deliberate. A discreet signature by Luca Font, echoing the artist’s own reserved presence, completes the piece on the back.
A deep palette of black, yellow, vibrant red, and shades of blue comes together in a bold balance with a distinctly urban, contemporary character.
